BRAND’S® ingredients lutein detail page

A carotenoid found in dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach, corn and various fruits, Lutein is a potent antioxidant which reduces harmful free radicals in various parts of the body. Lutein is not synthesised in the body and has to be obtained from diet. Lutein occurs naturally in the eyes. It can help to reduce the risk of macular degeneration by acting as a filter to absorb blue light, reducing its intensity by between 40% and 90%.

The supplemental form of Lutein used is naturally extracted from Marigold flower, and its absorption is two times better than lutein-rich spinach.
